Hello Readers,
No matter how you celebrate the holidays in December, there is always something that makes the month magical! Whether it’s rediscovering the boxes of vintage décor or getting together with good friends, there is a festive air that has a different feeling from the rest of the year. My recent meet-up was with an old acquaintance and author May Busch who stopped by to say hello as she was releasing her new book, VISIBLE.

I wish I had May's how-to many decades ago when I was first entering the workforce. It could have saved me countless sleepless hours! As you’ll see from the podcast with our host Stacey Gualandi, May is chockful of incredibly useful advice for anyone who wants to advance their career or improve their life without working themselves into the ground or selling their soul.
May's book VISIBLE
VISIBLE, May's labor of love, took her over 8 years to write. From the helpful advice, action plans and the encouragement it gives to the reader, it is a big motivator. Big congrats go to May as the book was recently named a #1 International Best Seller.
And speaking of holiday magic, we have some for you. Stacey alerted us to a festive popup in Las Vegas put on by Democracy® Clothing, a company founded by designer Caren Lettiere to “empower women of all shapes and sizes through comfort, inclusivity and style.” In other words, “curve equality.”
Democracy Clothing Giveaway Outfit
Caren designed Democracy Jeans for women of all ages and sizes. She tells Stacey that her company has something for every woman and will continue to go on the road in 2026, getting to know amazing women, supporting female-owned businesses and bringing female vendors to her events.

For those of you who dream of getting away over the holidays, please check out our travel expert Laurie McAndish King’s Spotlight about her recent Escape to Greece.
If you love finding bedazzling antiquities, delving into ancient myths and savoring classic Mediterranean dishes, you will enjoy this post and Laurie’s personal photos. It just may inspire you to go on a similar journey like this one organized by Sacred Earth Journeys.

One of Laurie’s favorite foods was a regional dish called galaktoboureko or a Greek custard pie. People rave about this dessert known as “the king of sweets,” dating back to the Ottoman empire and which can be eaten warm or cold.
Allrecipes has a traditional recipe that uses layers of crispy phyllo pastry crust which are usually soaked in sweet syrup. Garnishing with a dollop of ice cream, raspberries and a mint leaf is suggested. Sounds melt in your mouth to me!
