We are TV producers, journalists and authors who shine the light on ordinary women making a difference and how you can do it too through our podcasts, books, interviews, newsletter and website.
What a year it’s been! For TWE, it’s been very rewarding. We have met the nicest, most talented people from far and wide and are fortunate to have been able to introduce them to you.
From:
Unique designer Cynthia Davis who helps refugees become self-sufficient by weaving colorful creations to
Nonprofit leaders like cancer survivor Kristen Dahlgren on accelerating vaccines to end breast cancer and CNN hero Payton McGriff who empowers girls in Togo with her SHE sewing nonprofit
…and so many more…these women are living proof that there are powerful changemakers out there doing wonderful work.

We thank you for coming along with us on this TWE journey and value your interest and input in what we do. It’s uplifting to know that in this topsy-turvy world there are readers and listeners who are positive, caring and wanting to change the world in some large or small way.
Alenka Vrecek and Jenn Baljko are two such people. We were so impressed with their challenging journeys that we paired them together recently to do this podcast.
They are both Adventurers with a capital A but take drive and enthusiasm to a new level. You know Alenka from being a guest on our podcast about her journey and her memoir, She Rides, that follows her 2500-mile solo mountain bike ride across California and Mexico.
Alenka introduced us to Jenn in Spain who spent three and a half years on an arduous walk from Bangkok to Barcelona.

Their stories are more than just about endurance…both faced their personal fears and gained courage in unique ways. We think we can learn life lessons from both of their unusual adventures. Jenn has a book out now, The In Between with the documentary Bangkok to Barcelona on Foot to follow sometime next year.
Don’t miss our financial planner Catherine Scrivano’s End of Year Financial Advice. She zoomed with Stacey recently and outlined ideas we can put into motion to get our finances in good shape for 2025! It's a must read for those concerned about money matters.
Our TWE host Stacey Gualandi revisited Pascale Beale, another adventurous soul in Santa Barbara, CA. She is one of the most fascinating foodies we have met, always coming up with new and inspiring pairings of seasonal ingredients.
She talked to Stacey about her newest cookbook, FLAVOUR—Savouring The Seasons: Recipes From The Market Table, which is just full of her favorite healthy farm to table recipes.
Pascale has been more than kind to gift us a copy of her FLAVOUR cookbook for a newsletter reader.
It's a treasure!
